The European Heat Pump Association AISBL (EHPA AISBL) is a Brussels based industry lobby group striving to make heat pumps known and understood as the key integrator technology for a sustainable energy system.

In order to execute our work, we frequently collect personal data from you, the users of our services.

We do value your privacy and will only use your data for the associations purposes. We will neither sell, rent or trade contact information with other companies or business for marketing or commercial purposes. This applies to individual contact records as well as to contact lists.

This privacy policy document explains what type of data we collect from you, how we use it, and how we keep it secure.

Types of data we collect

We collect personal information from you because a) you are a member of our association, b) you intend to or have participated in one of our events, c) you have signed up for any of our information services or d) you have written to us requesting information on heat pumps.

We do not buy or otherwise collect personal information.

The information we collect about you includes (but is not limited to)

a) Your name

b) Your contact information such as: address, phone number(s), email and social media account names

c) Your areas of interest

d) And if we arrange meetings in the official EU institutions, we also ask for your ID number, date and location of birth

Google Analytics

When someone visits we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.


In case you are in our premises and use the guest wifi, please note that we collect information about:

a) your device;

b) the volume of data which you use;

c) the websites and applications which you access; and

d) your usage by access time, frequency and location.

As part of the registration process for our weekly wrap-up and our e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. 

We use our own mailing tool based on the typo3 environment in which our servers run to  deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our data protection officer : Maja de Noyette maja.denoyette[at] .

Ticketing Data

When you purchase a ticket(s), for one of our events or purchase a service that we provide, as well as when you are a member of the association, we will collect your name, address data, email and contact number as well of payment information. As this data is even more sensitive, be assured that it is not shared with anyone.
