With six organisations, EHPA calls on the European Commission and Member States in this joint letter for a more coordinated response to the radical and rapid change in power infrastructure needs.
Grid modernisation must be managed and coordinated via a high level political platform. Funding should be reinforced and investments sped up, and governments incentivise regulators to modernise grid connection and grid planning exercises. Common grid connection rules and certification processes should be established in the EU.
