EHPA highlights 2024: recap of the major milestones

16 Dec 2024

As 2024 comes to a close, the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) reflects on a year of both challenges and milestones for the heat pump industry. Despite facing a slowdown in sales, the sector demonstrated resilience and remains central to Europe’s energy transition.

“This year has been a challenging one for the heat pump sector, however the fundamentals of the need for heat pumps remain as compelling as ever. There is no other method the European Union to meet its energy security, competitiveness and climate targets without the large-scale deployment of heat pump technology.” said Paul Kenny, Director General of EHPA. “We now need to have a laser focus on enhancing market fundamentals to grow the sector, like electricity/gas price ratio and enhancing the skills of the European heating workforce.”

Take a moment to explore our interactive timeline and uncover the key highlights of the year. Dive into the events that shaped the European heat pump sector and celebrate the milestones that marked our journey toward a sustainable energy future.
