The European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) is pleased to invite you to a webinar presenting the winners of the Heat Pump City of the Year award (HPCY).
The HPCY was launched in 2011 to put the spotlight on cities and regions who have put in place an energy efficient project including a heat pump. The international appeal of the award has grown year after year so that it now attracts participants from all over Europe. Until now, we received more than 155 applications from all around Europe and awarded 20 existing solutions, which, if replicated, could lead the path to a full decarbonisation of the heating and cooling sector in Europe.
This webinar aims at presenting the 4 winning projects of the HPCY Award 2019 edition. This year we received 22 applications from 15 countries, including projects from single residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Our jury awarded 1 project for each of the 4 categories: DecarBuilding, DecarbIndustry, Next Generation Heat Pump, and the main category Heat Pump City of the Year. The main criteria of the award were 1. High level of innovation, 2. Integration with other renewable technologies and 3. CO₂ and cost reductions.
