European Sustainable Energy Week Session | Powering up synergies: industrial heat pumps and district heating and cooling for system integration

11 June 2025
/ 11 June 2025
16:30-18:00 CEST
Martin's hotel, Bd Charlemagne 80, 1000 Brussels & online

As the EU progresses towards a clean, competitive, and just energy transition, the integration of heating and cooling with the electricity sector is more critical than ever.

Industrial heat pumps and district heating and cooling (DHC) systems offer practical solutions to key challenges such as grid variability, reducing reliance on fossil fuels, and advancing local renewable energy adoption. Their ability to stabilise grids, store energy efficiently, and enable clean energy use makes them indispensable for achieving the EU’s energy goals.

Join our policy debate “Powering up synergies: industrial heat pumps and district heating and cooling for system integration”, co-organised with Euroheat & Power and moderated by Philippa Nuttall, Journalist at the Financial Times Sustainable News.

The session will showcase how industrial heat pumps and district heating and cooling (DHC) systems can enhance energy system integration and flexibility for a stable, resilient, and decarbonised energy system.

Register on the #EUSEW2025 website and add the session to your agenda.
