Euroheat & Power Summit 2024

05 November 2024
/ 06 November 2024
09:00 – 08:30
Rue Ravenstein 60, 1000 Bruxelles

As a new European mandate begins, it is more essential than ever to pursue the European Green Deal, but also, and above all, to fill the gaps that are compromising the implementation of ambitious energy and climate policies in the long term.

Energy affordability and energy security have, in particular, become major challenges that jeopardise the competitiveness of EU industries and fairness of the EU energy and climate transition. What if accelerating the uptake of clean heating and cooling solutions was the missing link?

This year alone, more than 20 organisations, NGOs and 15 EU Member States called on the European Commission to accelerate the European heating and cooling transition, and further develop efficient heating and cooling networks. Ambition, simplification and funding, are needed to enable European citizens to install clean heat solutions in their homes, and for European cities to exploit their own local heating and cooling sources.

It’s time to bring heat home!

Summit highlights:

This 2024 edition promises to be exceptional and will provide an opportunity to:

  • Host the launch of our flagship European campaign, #Bringheathome Present the latest 2040 and 2050 heating and cooling decarbonisation scenarios, developed by the renowned Aalborg university  Trigger an in-depth reflection on EU regulatory tools and financing instruments needed to accelerate the heating and cooling transition in the next EU mandate

About the Summit:

The Euroheat & Power Summit is a high-level, not-to-be missed policy event focusing on the decarbonisation of the European heating and cooling sector through the deployment of efficient district heating and cooling networks.

Watt's next webinar: the shift to an electric and efficient net zero industry

Industrial heat remains a major source of greenhouse gas emissions, accounting for two-thirds of industrial energy demand.  Electrifying heat through clean and efficient technologies such as heat pumps and the Organic Rankine Cycle - a means of converting low-temperature heat into electricity through an organic fluid - is critical for reducing emissions and improving  Europe's energy security.
