Policy Officer

EHPA actively monitors all (thermal) energy-related policy dossiers and evaluates their impact on the heat pump industry.

As a policy officer, you will contribute to this process by continuously updating EHPAs understanding on the dossiers at hand and by communicating our positions to members and other stakeholders alike.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring of the European Union’s climate and energy policies
  • Work on the compilation of EHPA's positions towards specific dossiers including an active exchange with EHPA's members to understand and integrate their concerns
  • Shape advocacy and campaigning strategies towards EU decision-makers (in collaboration with EHPA's communications department)
  • Update the website, internal news covering relevant policy development
  • Coordinate the work of the Advocacy and communications committee and contribute to other internal groups when necessary

Profile:

  • At least 3 years of work experience in political communication
  • University Master’s Degree in a relevant field
  • Outstanding organisational capabilities
  • IT skills: you know or are willing to learn fast to use a CMS (typo3)
  • Excellent writing and authoring skills
  • Proficiency in English
  • Available to travel occasionally in Europe
  • Working permit in Belgium

You execute the tasks and actions in a professional manner with an eye for detail and excellence in all processes. You are capable of articulating complex concepts in simple words. You can coordinate the work with various team members.

EHPA offers

On top of joining a fun team, EHPA offers a 1-year contract. The salary package includes: an attractive salary, bus allowance, lunch vouchers, medical/hospitalisation insurance, option for home office.
