TEPCO, Chubu Electric, Kansai Electric and Kobe Steel announced yesterday that they jointly developed a high efficient steam supply system using heat pump technology for factories, which is named “Steam Grow Heat Pumps”.
This new sytem can supply high temperature between 120 and 165°C with high efficient performance of COP 3.2.
This innovative system can achieve around 70% CO2 reduction at dry and sterilization process compared with gas boilers.
Kobe Steel plans to introduce the new heat pump system on the market from May 2011.
