We are happy to announce that EHPA will participate in the exhibition of the trade forum Chillventa 2022, which takes place from 11 to 13 October in Nuremberg, Germany. Chillventa is one of the world’s leading trade forums with a focus on refrigeration technologies. It takes place every two years at the Nuernbergmesse congress hall, gathering thousands of specialists and enthusiasts from the cooling industry. The experts get to exchange on the latest innovations in the sector and share their knowledge on the development of the technology. The exhibition is also a unique opportunity to learn about refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumps but also to network with business experts from around the world.
This year, due to the increasing pressure to end fossil fuels, heat pumps are expected to be at the centre of attention. They are the key solution for reaching a climate-neutral Europe. It is a reliable and cost-efficient technology that is now well established in the heating and cooling sector: according to our latest market figures, heat pump sales grew by 34% in Europe – an all-time high. 2.18 million heat pump units were sold in 21 countries – nearly 560,000 more than in 2020. This brings the total number of installed heat pumps in the EU to 16.98 million, covering around 14% of the heating market.
We are also very happy to announce that EHPA will not be alone at our exhibition booth. We will be joining forces with the German heat pump association BWP (Bundesverband Wärmepumpe), and have a lot of joint activities planned – you can stay informed on these by following us on Twitter If you are also attending the fair, you can find us in hall 4A, at booths 402 and 301. We will be more than happy to meet you and exchange about heat pumps and how they can play a crucial role in achieving zero emissions by 2050!
The Heat Pump KEYMARK, the voluntary European certification for all types of heat pumps will be exhibiting alongside EHPA. We will be happy to see the KEYMARK certificate holders and other partners involved in the scheme and answer the questions of anyone who is interested in the certification. On the 11th of October, Tarik Bellahcene, Head of the Heat Pump KEYMARK Secretariat, will be giving an info session about the certification in Hall 4A Booth 4A-401 at 10:00 CET. The presentation will cover the benefits of having certified quality products on the European market for manufacturers and end-users, the recognition of the scheme across Europe, the application process, testing regulations and compliance with EN standards and Ecodesign references. If you’re interested in joining the seminar, you can find all the related information here.

Note to the editor
EHPA promotes awareness and deployment of heat pump technology in Europe. All activities aim at creating a market environment that facilitates a faster deployment of heat pump technology to unleash its benefits on a European level: efficient heating and cooling using renewable energy. EHPA also coordinates the Heat Pump Keymark – a European certification scheme for all heat pumps, combination heat pumps and hot water heater.
