Heat Pump Action Plan Austria
The Austrian heat pump action plan was initiated by the national heat pump associactions BWP and LGWA. The document should make sure, that heat pumps are decently represented in the concert of renewable energy technologies. The heat pump action plan points out the potentials of heat pumps referring to economical and ecological targets. So e.g. the potential:
- to reduce the demand on primary energy,
- to reduce the emissions of CO2,
- to reduce the emissions of other greenhouse gases and polluting substances,
- to increase the economic value added,
- to show positive effects on employment.
The Austrian heat pump action plan was already presented to political decision makers (what was also a cause of a corresponding consideration of heat pumps in the Austrian efficiency plan). The preparation of a heat pump action plan is therefore an important instrument and argumentation aid for the information of decision and policy makers.
