QualiPac - the heat pump quality label of Qualit'EnR

Mar. 23, 2010 – Following the signature of a contract between AFPAC, the French Association for Heat Pumps, and Qualit'EnR, a body taking care of the installation quality of renewable energy systems, which was done last summer, the management of the QualiPAC label by Qualit'EnR is effective since January 2010.

QualiPAC, a quality scheme for the installation of air source and ground source heat pumps, has thus become the fourth label managed by Qualit'EnR, after Qualisol for solar thermal, QualiPV for solar photovoltaic and Qualibois for bioenergy. This set of labels display clear and coherent schemes for quality of renewable energy installations for consumers and professionals in France. In parallel, the AFPAC has become member of Qualit'EnR.

Information on “QualiPAC 2010” companies, procedures to apply for obtaining the label, training, etc. can be found on www.qualit-enr.org. The video of the official signing of the transfer agreement between André Joffre, President of Qualit'EnR and Pierre Sabatier, president of AFPAC can be seen on this website

The training procedure for QualiPAC installers is based on EUCERT training, that is now managed by the EHPA. Qualit’EnR has just joined the Education Committee of EHPA, that is in charge of promoting and developing EUCERT training programme.

Qualit’EnR in brief - www.qualit-enr.org

Founded in 2006 by five professional bodies (CAPEB, Enerplan, UECF-FFB, UNCP-FFB and SER), Qualit'EnR is an association for the quality installation of renewable energy systems. It aims to enable each customer to find  a qualified installer to advise and install a energy renewable system. For this, Qualit'EnR manages quality features: "Qualisol" for solar thermal, "QualiPV" for solar photovoltaics, "Qualibois" for bioenergy and "QUALIPAC" for heat pumps. These schemes include over 14 000 companies.

AFPAC in brief - www.afpac-org.fr

Created in February 2002, the French Association for Heat Pumps – AFPAC - promotes the development of heat pumps in France by performing communication activities towards French and European public authorities to raise awareness about environmental and energy interest of these heating systems. AFPAC facilitates relationship between all actors in the field of heat pumps in France and Europe, it has initiated and has followed the work of standardization and certification of French and European heat pumps and systems using them. The current actions of the AFPAC (establishment of the “Quality Charter PAC” and “NF PAC”) are fully in line with? the guidelines set by the French “Grenelle of Environment” in October 2007.
