Heat Roadmap Europe: New update of the Pan-European Thermal Atlas

Nov. 21, 2017

Have a look at the latest update of the Pan-European Thermal Atlas (Peta 4.2) of the Heat Road Map Europe project.

Heat Road Map Europe project aims to create the scientific evidence required to support the decarbonisation of the heating and cooling in Europe and to develop low-carbon heating and cooling strategies by quantifying and implementing changes at National level for 14 EU Member States.

Peta 4.2 supplies a range of valuable inputs for energy planning and decarbonisation of heating and cooling across Europe.

This new update adds 10 key layers which can allow the prioritisation of heat synergy regions, the understanding of the different sources available (i.e. excess heat and renewable energy sources), the identification of both heating and cooling demands and indications for infrastructural costs to implement viable urban solutions.
