Gundula Tschernigg is working at AIT in the field of sustainable thermal energy systems since 2005 mainly in solar thermal energy, heat pumps and photovoltaic. Main tasks are: the lead of a variety of national and international projects related to dissemination, quality assurance and education of renewable energies, coordination of the vocational trainings offered by AIT in the field of heat pumps, solar thermal energy, photovoltaic and ventilation. She was elected Vice Chair in November 2009.
