Karl Ochsner, born 1946, graduated 1968 at ETH, Federal Institute of Technology Zürich/CH, where he studied mechanical engineering. In 1978 he founded a company for the development, manufacture and sales of heat pumps. Since 1992, he has been active exclusively in heat pump technology for various applications. He is leading multiple research projects in the field and is expanding his company into one of international significance.
Since October 2006 Karl Ochsner is chairman/president of the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) and since 2003 chairman of the Austrian Heat Pump Association (BWP).
Karl Ochsner is also author of the books ‘Wärmepumpen in der Heizungstechnik’ published by Hüthig/Müller Verlag and ‘Geothermal Heat Pumps’ by Earthscan, London.
