Brigitte Bach received the PhD degree in Technical Physics from Vienna University of Technology, Vienna, Austria, in 1992. She started her career at AIT in 1999, since January 2009 she has been Head of Energy Department at AIT Austrian Institute of Technology. The main research areas are Electric Energy Infrastructure and Energy for the Built Environment. In autumn 2009 Brigitte Bach received the award “Austrian of the Year” in research category.
