Title 1 Nature of the Association

Article 1 - Identification / Legal Entity

Article 1.1 Name

The “European Heat Pump Association” EEIG, in short “EHPA” is constituted under European law as a European Economic Interest Group submitted to the Council Regulation n° 2137/85 of July 25, 1985. It is incorporated by a signed contract between its members and it is a not-for-profit organisation.

All deeds and documents emanating from the EHPA and destined for third parties must contain its name followed by the words “European Economic Interest Grouping” or the abbreviation “EEIG” as well as the address of its registered office, its registration number and the place of registration.

1.2   Articles

These articles regulate the organisation of the EHPA EEIG.

Article 2 - Objectives and Aims

The purpose of the Association is:

·  to act as a body which promotes awareness and proper deployment of heat pump technology in the market place for residential, commercial and industrial applications

·  to disseminate information and educational materials suitable for end-users, energy advisers, training of installers, bore-hole drillers and other parties involved in the supply chain and sales channel of heat pumps,

·  to undertake strategic studies with the EU and other interested bodies

·  to provide technical and economic advice to European, national and local authorities in legislative, regulatory and energy efficiency matters

·  to coordinate labelling initiatives for heat pumps and advising on labelling for residential housing

·  to cooperate with other organisations on a directory/database of heat pumps including certified rating and performance data and a list of installers, who are suitably qualified

·  to liaise with other organisations with similar aims in Europe and world wide

·  to exchange experiences on market penetration and on overcoming barriers to the acceptance of the technology

The grouping shall perform all activities necessary to attain the above purposes.

The necessary changes are currently done. The key aim and precautions layed down in the existing statutes remain unchanged.
